      <description>HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Juniata College Athletics reviewed its year in sports and acknowledged the accomplishments of its student-athletes at the 16th Annual Athletic Awards Night.  Held Sunday night on campus, the event also recognized the departments &#x201c;Big Five&#x201d;, the top five senior student-athletes who have made incredible contributions not only to their respective sports, but the institution as a whole over the course of their four years.</description>

      <description>HUNTINGDON, Pa. &#x2013; Juniata Athletics saw 24 student-athletes recognized by the Landmark Conference Tuesday as members of the 2012-13 winter honor roll.  The list recognizes student-athletes of at least sophomore standing who competed in winter sports and maintained a 3.2 cumulative GPA or higher.  Juniata was one of four institutions to have over 20 student-athletes honored.</description>

Juniata (19-9) won three of its last five games and finished the season 1-2 against the Greyhounds.</description>

Juniata (11-4, 2-2 Landmark) had 12 steals and a season-high 51 rebounds in the win.  Drew dropped to 5-10, 1-3 in the conference with the loss.</description>

As a team, the Eagles shot 90.5 percent from the free throw line in the win.  They improved to 10-3 overall, 1-1 Landmark, while Scranton dropped to 9-3, 2-1 Landmark.</description>

      <description>HUNTINGDON, Pa. &#x2013; The Juniata women&#x2019;s basketball team improved to 8-3 Saturday after defeating Kings College (Pa.) 80-51 in the 2012 Juniata Holiday Tournament Championship.  This was the Eagles first tournament win of the season.  Junior Kate McDonald (Pennsylvania Furnace, Pa./State College Area) was named tournament MVP after averaging 11.5 points and 10.5 rebounds.  Both she and sophomore Kelsey Livoti (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) earned all-tournament honors.</description>
