Women’s basketball earns spot on D3Hoops.com poll
HUNTINGDON, Pa. – With a 6-0 record to start-off the season, Juniata women’s basketball has certainly turned some heads and has earned a spot on the D3Hoops.com Top 25 Poll.

The Eagles clinched 144 points to land the squad at no. 20, and are sandwiched between no. 19 Christopher Newport (4-0) with 161 points and no. 21 UW-River Falls (4-0) at 114 points.
No other Landmark Conference teams appear on the list, and only one of Juniata's regular season competitors made the cut, William Paterson. The Pioneers dropped from their previously held fourth place to sixth on the poll and hold a 5-0 record. The Eagle's are scheduled to travel to William Paterson on Saturday, Dec. 10 for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
Last week Saint Vincent College (3-1) was clinging to a no. 24 slot, but a 76-63 loss at the hands of the Eagles last week knocked the Bearcats off the list.
Amherst College (3-0) took home 18 first place votes and 615 points to remain the top spot. University of Chicago (4-0) also stayed-put at second with 598 points.
The weekly poll is voted on by a panel of coaches, sports information directors, and media members from across the nation.
Women's hoops begins Landmark play Saturday, Dec. 3 against Susquehanna University in a men and women's double header. The women tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
