Softball Drops One at Elizabethtown

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.- The Juniata softball team fell, 6-2 to Elizabethtown in their final conference game of the season.

The Blue Jays got on the board first, scoring three runs in the bottom of the fourth. In the top of the sixth the Eagles fought back, scoring two runs. Kerigan Ammerman (Alexandria, Pa. / Juniata Valley) was walked, she then stole second. Allie Baney (State College, Pa. / State College Area) singled to the shortstop, advanced to second on the throw and Ammerman scored. Baney advanced to third on a fly out to center field. Chrisi Lerchen (Annville, Pa. / Annville-Cleona) singled through the left side and Baney crossed home plate. The Blue Jays scored three more runs in the bottom of the sixth. 

Ammerman went 1-2 with one run scored and two stolen bases. Baney went 2-3 with one run scored. 

The second game today, got cancelled due to rain. The Eagles will travel to Wilson tomorrow for a doubleheader starting at 1:00PM.
