HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) released its annual preseason poll on Tuesday. The Juniata men's volleyball team has been selected third as the Eagles totaled 38 points. Defending champion Stevenson was picked first with 47 total points and six first place votes.
Marymount was picked second with 40 points and one first place vote. Rutgers-Newark came in behind Juniata with 29 points and one first place vote. The poll rounded out with Eastern Mennonite (28), Cairn (18), newcomer Alvernia (11), and Thiel (10).
The Eagles finished 10-16 last season and 5-7 in the CVC. They lost to the Mustangs in the CVC semifinals 3-0. 13 players return and are joined by six newcomers in 2017. Juniata will be led by former Eagle Glenn DeHaven.
