Eagles to Face First Top 15 Opponent of the Season
Huntingdon, Pa. - Juniata College travels down to Baltimore, Md. this weekend to face-off against No. 15 Johns Hopkins University (JHU). The Eagles (1-3, 0-3 Centennial), who are looking for their first conference win of the season, have averaged nearly 20 points a game.

Juniata put up a season-best 38 points against Franklin & Marshall (Sept. 22) with 450 yards of total offense. They will be facing the third best defense in the conference and will need to keep up the offensive pressure if they hope to upset the Blue Jays who are averaging 38 points per game.

SERIES HISTORY
Juniata and JHU have only met six times since the programs began competing in 1929. JHU leads the all-time series 5-1. The Eagles are 1-2 when competing in Baltimore. Juniata last traveled to the Blue Jays in 2012. This will be the third time in the series’ history that JHU was ranked during their meeting. The Blue Jays were ranked No. 20 in 2011 and No. 11 in 2009.
OFFENSIVE NOTES
Juniata is on a nine game scoring streak. The Eagles posted their highest point total of the season (38) against Franklin & Marshall (Sept. 22) affter a season-best 450 yards of total offense. They have averaged 366.8 yards/g and done so taking their time. Juniata is ranked 34th in NCAA Division III football for time of possession (33:29 per game) to lead the Centennial Conference.
Sophomore Ward Udinski passed for 117 yards and ran for an addition 16 against the F&M to put him second in the conference for total offense. He is ranked 36th in the country for the stat and is ranked third in the conference for passing avg per game. Seniors Dominc Bornman and Julian Valdiserri are ranked among the top receivers in the conference. Bornam is tied for third in receptions per game and sits fourth in receiving yards per game. Valdiserri is eighth in receptions per game.
DEFENSIVE NOTES
Juniata is fourth in the Centennial Conference in sacks (10) and have only allowed two 4th-down conversions in four games. Junior Brandon Felus is tied for first in the conference in sacks. The d-lineman leads the team with 4-solo and 1-assisted for a total of 20 yards. Junior Demetrius Floyd is ranked 36th in the country for fumbles recovered (2). Linebackers junior Kevin Gorman and sophomore Ethan Wilt are among the best tacklers in the league ranking 17th and 12th, respectively. Gorman is also tied for third in tackles for a loss (5-solo, 1-assisted) at 15-yards.
SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
Senior Scott Andrews has remained a beacon of consistency in the Eagles special teams. He is a perfect 8-for-8 in PAT kicking percentage and is tied for first in the conference. Andrews ranks 50th in the country (2nd in Centennial) in field goals per game (0.75). Freshmen Jonah Plymire and Carl Coleman have made their mark in the conference. Plymire is ranked fourth in punting with a 37.8 average and Coleman is ranked 10th in kick return yards with an 18.5 average.
