      <title>Kepple Becomes 121st Member of Juniata Athletics Sports Hall of Fame</title>

      <description>HUNTINGDON, Pa. - After 15 years of service, Dr. Thomas R. Kepple, Jr. will retire from the position of President at Juniata College this summer.  Dr. Kepple transformed the campus and institution during his tenure and has been one of Juniata athletics biggest fans.  For his work in improving the department and support of its programs, Dr. Kepple was inducted into the Juniata Athletics Sports Hall of Fame Thursday.  He became only the second special inductee in the hall&#x2019;s history.  Former athletics director and head volleyball coach Larry Bock was the first in February of 2012.</description>

Juniata Athletics said goodbye to over 40 student-athletes who received their Bachelor&#x2019;s degrees. There were 48 students that crossed the stage at commencement who participated in intercollegiate sports at Juniata during their time on campus.</description>

      <description>HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Former Juniata College men&#x2019;s volleyball player Patrick Shawaryn was named National Assistant Coach of the Year by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) for his role in helping the men&#x2019;s volleyball team capture its first Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) title.  The 2004 graduate also assists the women&#x2019;s program and has been on the sidelines for the past three years.</description>

      <description>HUNTINGDON, Pa. - It&#x2019;s been nearly two weeks since the Juniata College men&#x2019;s volleyball team swept UC Santa Cruz (3-0) to win the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) Tournament and the Eagles have not let up.  Winning the program&#x2019;s first CVC championship also secured its first NCAA Tournament berth.  As one of the final eight teams selected, No. 8 Juniata travels to Rochester, N.Y. to play in the national quarterfinal against No. 15 Rivier University on Friday, April 26 at 8 p.m.</description>

      <description>CHESTER, Pa. - Juniata College outdoor track and field earned 11 top 10 finishes at the Widener Invitational over the weekend amidst tough competition.  The Eagles also broke 22 personal records during the two-day meet.  Senior Angela Shaffer (Prospect, Pa./Slippery Rock) continued to excel in the field and on the track.  She won the high jump after clearing 1.60m and placed fifth in the 100m hurdles with a 15.84 second time.</description>
