Walt Vanderbush '56
A four-year letter winner and starter, the 6'6" center led Juniata in rebounding over four straight seasons from 1952-56, averaging a then school-record 13.4 rebounds per game during his senior year. Second for career rebounds (884) and ninth in scoring (1,124 points) on the Juniata all-time charts, Vanderbush still holds the single-game board mark with 33 rebounds vs. Dickinson in January 1955. He was the first of only two players in Juniata history to average double figures per game in rebounding during three different seasons. He had several outstanding teams during 13 years of coaching high school basketball in New York.
