Four Eagles Named to Landmark Fall All-Academic Team
HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Four Juniata student-athletes were recognized on the Landmark Conference 2012 All-Academic Team. The group represents the top two male and female fall sport participants who hold over a 3.0 cumulative GPA and are of at least sophomore status.
HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Four Juniata student-athletes were recognized on the Landmark Conference 2012 All-Academic Team. The group represents the top two male and female fall sport participants who hold over a 3.0 cumulative GPA and are of at least sophomore status.
Junior Emma Dahmus (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) is a two-time All-Landmark Conference selection. In 2012, Dahmus led the women’s field hockey team with six assists and finished second on the squad in goals (8) and points (22). She also recorded her first collegiate hat trick and was named first team all-conference. She is a member of the Colleges Against Cancer organization and spearheaded a Pancreatic Cancer Awareness week for the field hockey team. Dahmus is currently studying biology.
Sophomore Robbie Higgins (Middletown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) finished third on the men’s soccer team in goals this year. He started in 14 of the 16 matches he appeared in and had a .600 shot-on-goal percentage. Higgins is currently studying physics and biology.
Sophomore Trevor Stephens (Bethesda, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) improved his personal best time competing with the men’s cross country team this past year. He went on to finished in 23rd place at the Landmark Conference Championships and is currently studying peace and conflict studies.
Junior Katrina Woods (Shirleysburg, Pa./Mt. Union) is a three-time Landmark All-Conference selection. A member of the women’s cross country team, Woods was named first team all-conference this past year. She finished second overall at the conference championship meet and placed 29th at the NCAA Division III Regional Championships. Woods is currently studying wildlife conservation.
