Juniata Athletics said goodbye to over 40 student-athletes who received their Bachelor’s degrees. There were 48 students that crossed the stage at commencement who participated in intercollegiate sports at Juniata during their time on campus.
Across the board, Juniata Athletics programs averaged just over three seniors per squad with football leading the way at 10 graduating. Baseball had the second-highest senior total at seven and men’s soccer was third with six.
Women’s tennis and men’s volleyball are on the other side of the spectrum and completed their seasons without a single senior on their respective rosters. While women’s basketball and women’s volleyball each only had one.
The Class of 2013 is possibly one of the most successful in Juniata history. They played a crucial role in the football team’s turnaround seasons and were influential in the men’s basketball team having the two winningest seasons in program history back-to-back. They also had a hand in over 20 postseason titles including four straight Landmark titles for women’s volleyball and numerous track and field championships.
This group did an incredible job competing in the blue and gold and join an illustrious class of Juniata Alums.
